The West Euston Time Bank

WHAT IT'S ABOUT

What is a Time Bank?

A time bank is a way for people to share skills with other in their local community and be rewarded for it - in time.

For every hour of time you give providing a service for another member, you receive one credit.

West Euston

2. Your hours will be recorded.

3. You will receive a regular statement of the time you have given and received.

As a Time Bank

· A few hours of your spare time when you want to, doing the things you enjoy.

· You receive the opportunity to get some help for yourself, if you need it.

· The satisfaction of making the    quality of life better for someone else.

· You can give twice by donating your credits to someone who needs them more than you do.

How do you earn

 credits?

You can earn time credits by:

  • Providing a service for another member

  • if you would like to run your own workshop for the community, providing yourself with recognised work experience.

  • You can save your credits for when you might need them or donate them to someone who may not be able to do so

You can spend your credits by:

  • Receiving a computer lesson or having some light chores done

  • Attending workshops

  • Attending a course related to  your work to help gain employment
