Wild in the Park

On Monday 7th August 2006, West Euston Time Bank members went on a Wild in the Park picnic.

Time bank member Les helped get the shopping for the picnic.

The weather wasn't on our side so we had an indoor picnic at the Crypt centre! It soon brightened up though and we happily made our way to our wildlife destination in Regents Park.

We were given a talk on the creation of the new wildlife garden. We were also given the opportunity to plant seeds that will embedded in the new garden. We also planted poppy seeds to take home.

Wild in the Park leaders took us on a tree hunt to discover what creatures make homes there! We found spiders, various types of flies, a stag beetle a gigantic grasshopper!
 

On the completion of the wildlife garden in late autumn, some of our members will be doing their time exchanges there.
